In a first for our service, members of our mighty Sydney & Moruya based crews will be paddling from the Bega Shire on the NSW South Coast to Bondi Beach between April 25 and May 3. We aim to raise funds and awareness for our service along a region that keeps us very busy all year round!
We are excited to announce that Sydney City Volkswagen have come on board to support this inaugural event, along with the generous support of Bennett Surfboards (thanks for the paddles Greg!), BOS Ocean Sports and Diamant Fat Bikes
The team from Moruya will be kicking off after the Dawn Service in Bermagui on Anzac Day, with our first paddlers proudly wearing their own service medals in tribute to our fallen ANZACs. The entire route will extend about 380km in total concluding with what we hope will be an enormous group of locals and supporters cheering on our Sydney team into Bondi Beach in the afternoon on Sunday May 3rd.
We are currently building a full event site which will be up soon, which includes the all important “SPONSOR A CREW” link to donate to either Team South Coast or Team Sydney (the challenge is on for the crew who can achieve the highest donation tally!).
