Missions
The Service conducts daily beach and coastal surveillance patrols over the Summer season
While on patrols, the crew are constantly on the look out for not only for sharks, but also unattended fishing equipment which might indicate someone has been washed off the rocks, swimmers and surfers in distress, vessels in distress and objects in the water and developing rips.
Last Summer numerous sharks were sighted while on routine patrols from The Entrance to Stanwell Tops. The Service is on call for coastal-based search and rescue emergencies.
